My Review of the Little Tikes Swing Along Castle
This outdoor play castle is a fun toy for toddlers to have. It can be enjoyed by both boys and girls, and also makes an ideal backyard playground for families with small siblings. It encourages the imagination, develops physical skills such as balance, coordination and strength, and is very safe to use. Smaller children, however, will need a little help getting on the swing and getting the seat belt attached. Parents and older siblings will need to supervise toddlers who are not yet ready to walk or climb by pushing the swing for them and helping them go up the rock wall and down the slide until they are old enough to play independently. Rigid bars attached to the swing limit the swings movement which makes it very safe but may not hold the interest of older children. The rock wall is a perfect activity for toddlers in transition from crawling to walking. Some assembly is required upon purchase of this toy, but it is relatively simple. Although some adults may need a little more than 20 minutes to build, it is not very time-consuming. Only a hammer and screwdriver are required.
For additional safety, place the toy on level ground and far away from obstructions such as garden hoses, tree branches, electrical wires, fences and doors. Keeping the toy free from outdoor dust and dirt regularly is a must, but its plastic frame makes it a breeze to clean.
Because of its compact size, the toy may be easily outgrown by children and enjoyed for only a short period of time.
